Since 2008, Solar Choice has vetted over 2,000 installers and has a current live network of around 400 approved solar installers across Australia.

Solar Choice Vetting Procedure

In order to appear on the Solar Choice comparison site, installation companies must meet a set of requirements. Solar Choice has been assessing solar companies since 2008 and its our job to ensure you are dealing to trustworthy and reputable businesses.

For every new installer we check:

Criteria

Solar Choice Minimum Requirement

Trading history based on the businesses ABN Minimum 12 months
Accreditations with the Clean Energy Council (CEC), Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) and New Energy Technology Consumer Code (NETCC). Electrical and plumbing contractors licence for relevant state. 

Must either have employees who are SAA accredited installers and/or be a NETCC approved solar retailer.

All publicly available feedback and reviews Minimum of 10 x 5-star reviews on public platform
Electrical Contractors Licence for relevant state, Master Electricians membership and CEC accredited installer Off-Grid All qualifications are transparently displayed for customers to see on our portal
Installers offers, product selection and pricing Solar Choice team member individually reviews all offers uploaded by installers reviewing pricing, product quality and accuracy of sales information

Solar Choice’s quote comparison portal transparently displays all the information about the company that we have vetted and includes information on each company that is typically not available elsewhere. This includes information on the number of employees, number of systems installed and commercial solar project experience.
