GoodWe’s Warranty Offer for Australian Customers

GoodWe offers a standard 2-year parts and labour warranty on their HCA EV charger.

As most EV Chargers on the market come with a 2-year to 5-year warranty, GoodWe’s warranty offer is a little on the shorter side.

There is an option to extend the warranty with an additional 3-years of parts only coverage. This means if your GoodWe EV charger breaks in year 3 to year 5 and you’ve paid for the warranty extension, they will ship you the replacement part. You will still be responsible for paying for an electrician to diagnose and fix the issue.

The good thing about GoodWe is that they have an established office in Melbourne to help support customers with technical issues and warranty claims. This is not the case with all the foreign EV Charger brands on the market.

Our verdict on GoodWe’s EV Charger

GoodWe’s EV charger represents a good lower cost option for customers on a budget. The basic functionality and technical characteristics stack up well against the Tesla Wall Connector and other chargers at a similar price point. There would be a greater advantage to their charger if you had a GoodWe inverter installed.

For EV owners looking for a more feature rich EV charger with OCPP connectivity and more options with internet connectivity, then it might be best to pay a little more for a more premium option.
