Jinko was the brand recommended to me by Sure Solar. In the research I’ve done and several other quotes that I had obtained this brand of panel was very highly regarded and very cost-effective. I’m very happy with the decision to use this and during the installation it looked very robust.

There is a lot of information on the Internet and the Australian market when looking at solar power. This brand of inverter is highly regarded and once again cost-effective and very reliable.
Battery - Sungrow
I had read about this particular brand of battery and how it works very well with triphase power Which we had at our premises. Information was also showing this brand did very well when the power grid was down so it could run off grid on its own. So far, it’s been very reliable.

I installed a solar system with Sure in Jan 2022. I looked at 3 vendors: one wanted to take me for a ride (suggested a HUGE system on finance) and was very misleading, one was pretty unresponsive and then there was Sure: direct, factual, responsive, professional. It was a big investment (for me) but I felt that I could trust them to do a good job. Well 3 years later, we have had no problems and we have avoided the worst of the power price spikes! Couldn't be happier. Would highly recommend.

After researching information via Finn Peacock. One of the three companies advised to contact was Sure Solar. This did not stop me from receiving quotes from a number of various companies. The Sales Rep I dealt with was Jason, who was excellent. I asked a plethora of questions, of which Jason was able to answer every one with efficiency. No airs and graces, honest and truthful. On the day of installation I had Steve and Gary. Once again, the process was smooth and I was given all the information to get me through the starting procedures. I would highly recommend the company and it's team to anyone.

Sales process was faultless with Steve being very helpful in specifying the system. That’s where the good service ended. The installer, Peter, was late on both days of the installation, had equipment missing and, in their haste to finish on the second day, they took no care on the roof and left us with a number of broken tiles. Despite us having spare tiles available at their request, they did not advise of any damage to the roof and we were left to find out the hard way and have had to spend several thousand $$ on replacing tiles (around and underneath the solar panels) and on insurance claims to repair damage from resulting leaks. Installation was completed after sun had set on second day so system was unable to be tested for functionality. Installer had to return to address system performance after a few days. We have tried to engage with the company regarding the damage to our roof and have found them to be obstructive and rude.

Sales process was good. I had many questions and Sure Solar was patient and informative. The timing was agreed and the installers turned up on time, completed the instal in half a day and left a tidy site. Since the initial installation of 6.6kW I have asked more questions and also during extended power outage had to reboot. I have received great support and the App is very useful. We subsequently upgraded some old panels with a further 6.64kW. I again chose Sure Solar and that instal went very well too.

We had Risen for the first instal but as solar panels have improved even in that short time we chose JA for the second 6.64kW. Both are mid range panels but operate very efficiently.

The two inverters are working well. The supporting App is useful and I consult it every day.
Battery - Sungrow
We initially installed 13.2kW in four batteries and later increased this to capacity at 19.2kW and 6 batteries. By choosing a modular battery solution we had flexibility to increase and some measure of risk management if one battery fails, the remaining 5 still operate.

Salesperson Steve Leamann from SureSolar was excellent - good comunication and no sales pressure. Our roof has some shading from trees, which we had documented with photos taken at different times of the day and year. We also provided a drawing of the roof. SureSolar designed the system around this information. They advised up front that their prognosis on the system efficiency was only 50% due to the shade issues, where other companies had just quoted the standard 90% efficiency. The system has now operated for two and a half years and on average delivered about 60% efficiency. The system was installed by sub-contractor SolidSolar to our full satisfaction. The system includes two batteries and two inverters, a grid-inverter and a hybrid-inverter. There has been one incident after a power outage lasting several days, where the system would not swith to backup power. SureSolar did a promt remote reset of the system, and we worked out that the problem was caused by our water pressure pump (we are on tank water).

If you are looking for a new solar system in the Gold Coast area - look NO FURTHER than 4SURESOLAR (this is an honest review and I have not received any benefits from making this statement)

Sure Solar installed an Enphase system on my roof and completed the job. Nice and friendly staff, easy to deal with. However the next day I log onto the system through the phone app and 14/25 inverters do not work. I don't understand how you can walk away from a commissioned system with only half of it working (and not communicate this to me!). It's been over a month now and the issue is still not resolved so very unhappy.

Very responsive in the quoting stage and very helpful. However, communication between departments was less than optimal as they did not have all parts prepared for the installation. Took 5 weeks and many follow-ups to get someone out to complete the work. Up until then was very happy. Shame it had a bad ending.

I chose Sure Solar due to the sales person taking the time to understand my needs and to help me choose the most suitable system. However, once the order was taken I didn't hear from them again and everything was then left up to the installer to complete the process (ironically the installer was another company that I did not choose but had quoted). I think Sure Solar could also have followed up with a quick call once installation was complete to ensure I was happy with the installation process, and to check I could use and understand the monitoring app on my phone. Overall I would recommend Sure Solar but I think their after-sales service can be greatly improved.

The installation of our system went smoothly and SureSolar were very easy to deal with and professional at all times. There were a few issues when we received the invoice but these were quickly sorted out. I selected a Fronius Primo inverter which is operating well but the OEM website is not very helpful to get the SolarWeb monitoring software operational when an install issue arises.
