Good system, but company difficult to deal with

Review left 2 years after system installed

My system was installed late 2022 Sales person, Adrian, was excellent, electrician, came to my house, (unlike other two recommendations who both operated off satellite photos which did not adequately represent the complexity of my roof) very easy to talk with and answered all my questions. Some delays and rescheduling due to weather and Covid which was understandable. Installation team very noisy, radio blaring, which i had to ask them to turn down. Electrician broke my front porch light, didn't mention it or apologise and put in a very ugly cable right next to my front door. Adrian agreed it should not be there and promised to get it sorted but nothing ever happened. As part of the sales agreement they were to bring spare roof tiles, as I hadn't been able to obtain any, and also re-site my TV aerial which was going to shade some of the panels. The installation team knew nothing of either of these and refused to do it, but Ashlee, in the office, refused to deduct anything from the cost for this. However, despite all this, the system seemed to be performing well and the inverter website very easy to use so I could monitor my usage. However recently the inverter stopped working, so I contacted Sunflow, only to be told one of their directors had left the company taking all their records and a court case is pending. I was told to ring his new company, who denied having any records and also mentioned legal proceedings. I then realised that I had email copies of all the relevant records: the signed sales proposal, the handover package with details of warranties, application to connect to the grid etc. Incredible they had not thought of this ! I forwarded these to Ashlee (twice, as the first time she gave me an erroneous email) at which time she said she had spoken to one of the electricians, who suggested it could have been a grid problem which caused the shutdown, which I could test by shutting down and restarting the inverter - very easy to do and successful: the inverter functioning again and feeding into grid. Knowing how rebooting is the first advice that's given for computer malfunctions, it seems very obvious I could have been given this advice, even without knowing I was one of their customers. When I contacted Ashlee to confirm all was working, she had the temerity to ask me to leave a review !

My roof faces almost due north, but it's not huge, so I opted for more expensive panels with maximum performance.

Solar Inverter - Goodwe

Two of the panels on a separate roof with different sun exposure so inverter has to deal with this. Portal easy to use and very comprehensive. The inverter has switched itself off twice in two years for no apparent reason, I only discovered by chance, no warning given, so I lost several days of solar power. Restarted after rebooting. This never happened with other solar systems (Two previous houses)

Very happy with Sunflow Solar

Very happy with all aspects of dealing with Sunflow Solar. Vinnie worked through all my questions and came up with a great solution at a competitive price. Installation went smoothly to plan and was neat & tidy, with the guys advising what was going on. The system has performed better than we expected.

Bills now are almost nonexistent

Turned up on time and installed the panels in a great position on the roof to maximise output. The sparky warren did a clean job on the electrical work as well. We went from $409 a month and now after 6 weeks we are on $15 after installing the PV.
