Pushy cut price sales process that over promised on the design of how many solar panels could be installed on the roof. When it came to installing the solar panels on the roof, the installation team advised that the array design wouldn’t fit the roof space. Long story short; array design didn’t fit roof, the alternate array configuration wasn’t sufficient to be recognised by the inverter, solar didn’t work for 3 months until modifications were made to the system (at an extra cost), the roof then leaked below the solar panels during the 1st rains of the season, water damaged ceiling, installer returned to fix the leak under warranty then SunBoost tried to pass the invoice onto me! The water damage ceiling still not repaired. SunBoost’s warranty is worthless and the company is terrible to deal with when things go wrong. Don’t let them anywhere near your house or roof - I read all the reviews and choose to ignore them - now I’m the fool with a leaky roof and water damaged ceiling…

The installers were great, it is Sunboost who won’t get it fixed it has been 10days since it crashed phone call after phone no reply I don’t know if it the battery which is a few months old or the panels In 10 days the power bill is 60 plus dollars

The installation was of poor standard with the location of battery and inverter in the incorrect location. TFA solar incorrectly butchered an existing clothes line to make his job easier to install. TFA solar also stole my existing inverter and is yet to return since 4 weeks after installation. Wilson fromSun boost continues to promise a service call back to re instate the inverter and batter position but is full of promises but is yet to deliver. Please avoid this company at all costs. I will bee seeking advise from CBS for advise

Final product was good. Don’t be pushed into settling for cheaper options. Product was goodSalesman was very pushy, put other company and products down. Any changes they made was extra but when we changed it didn’t get same amount credited. Installation crew were great and knew the product.

We had a contract with a locked in price. The day before installation was to happen they rang and said they had increased the price another $1500. They knew that part of our contract with our house required us to have the solar installed by the next day. They are unprofessional, greedy and I would never recommend them to anyone. I only wish I had read some of these reviews prior to using them.

Up front this company seems good to deal with, but if anything goes wrong, then beware! One of the panels arrived on site broken and Sunboost refused to replace the panel unless I paid for the installer to return to fix it. Terrible business ethics!! I would not recommend them to anyone!

This disgusting company after I’ve referred numerous people to them and have purchased more than one 6.5 kw system the have the nerve to charge $385.00 call out fee on a system that shows an error message on a system that is only 2 years old

This company is a scam 17.5 k for a system that doesn't work can't get online and still receiving bills in debt and not in credit and he put on a larger system that he claimed to be more than enough battery. Total rip off stay away

Payed a deposit on October 30/ 2023 with the promise it would be installed before Christmas. Dragged on and received an installation date in mid February 2024 then five days before installation they cancelled the job saying our roof of 40 degrees was too steep but our contract stated up to 45 degrees. They will not honour their contract and have been hard to contact to get info and forget about them calling back.

I will state to start with that we have not purchased any products from Sunboost. After receiving my initial quote I noted that it did not include an export control box. Upon emailing them I was advised that the initial quote had been increased by $1500. I then requested that they itemize the hardware and labour costs individually. They refused to do this stating "it will increase the package price". Conclude from this what you will. But their secrecy with this resulted in us not pursuing business with them.

The company were excellent to deal with. The installation time was as quoted with follow up service as to my satisfaction with the installation. Would recommend this company to any prospective customer.

The sales process was conducted on-line without any problems. The installers were very efficient and did a wonderful job. The installation was competed and we went live on the 1st December 2023 and since then we have had no issues.

I have 48 panels and believe batteries would be a complete waste of time and money. The solar panels work fine with 2 inverters.

I contacted sunboost and in the PRE sales stage they dont reply to emails or respond and I was considering a $18-20k system so not a small sale -- if this is what their BEFORE sales service is like I can only imagine how bad it would be after they have your money -- BEWARE

The guys that installed our system were amazing, but they were not employed by Sunboost, they were independent subcontractors. The company however, were a nightmare from day 1 ! They continuosly harrassed us daily via phone and email until a deposit was paid. Then they told us we had to pay the outstanding balance before installation day ! I kept refusing. They were very hard to deal with. I wanted to tell them to stick it but my husband wanted to proceed, for some stupid reason that only he knows. The day after it was installed they told us we had to turn it off until our power company came and changed over the meter, which was going to cost us a kidney. Not once were we informed of this, they spoke down to me like I was beneath them, men of course, when I asked why we didnt know this.. The power company told us it would take up to two weeks to come out, and we are still here waiting, with our solar turned off..I would not recommend these people to a dog, let alone another human..Run away as fast as you can, its a huge scam!

This has been worst customer service I have ever received. We paid a deposit over two months ago and just days ago (after threatening legal action) one of their installers turned up to do a site inspection. They then wanted to charge us an additional installation fee which equated to a 20% increase in the total price. I have cancelled as I can very clearly see this will continue to be a disaster. I would NOT recommend this company. The slightly lower prices just aren't worth it.

Terrible service had to wait for 2 months after the first time they came out to install stating that my house was to high for their installer’s so they booked a local contractor who was great but then they said I needed more gear for my meter box for a extra $330 on top of the contract price funny how I didn’t have to pay that if there installer came out but only after they had to pay extra for a local contractor

SunBoost are a very shonky company. They suck you in take your money and that's where the customer service ends. They will not honor warranty claims and pass the blame back onto the equipment manufacturer even though it was purchased from SunBoost. They will not send a representative out to look into problems and they have no technical backup or support. They are a disgrace and should not be allowed to continue operating in Australia. Allan Border you are a disgrace as well as you are the face of SunBoost and promoting a very dodgy business.

I could not be more unhappy. I did not rush into getting solar. I got convinced by pricing. In hind sight, I wish I had gone with a local installer and paid an extra $1500 - $3000 for a 12.6kw system. From the initial quote you think you are getting value for money. You send pictures of your meter box and they tell you that is all good. Just prior to installation they told us we needed $880 worth of upgrades. I advised SunBoost we will get our own electrician to quote and complete the required work. We were in no rush. They try and lock you in on dates. I told them I needed to get meter box work completed still. 27/02/23 I get a call from Sunboost to say Installers would be there in 1 hr. I told them I hadn't agreed to the work commencing. Please contact installer and advise them not to attend. The contracted installer turns up. This guy is trying to make a living. Tells me he has booked out 3 days for install and driven from the Tablelands. Job proceeds, because I don't want the installer to miss out on his work. Electrical work to meter box has to be expedited to complete install. The quote of over $880 is grossly inflated. Actual - 1.5hrs labour and $75 in parts. I voice my dissatisfaction to phone operator saying I hadn't agreed to work proceeding. They then try and tell me the layout of panels is costing them money because they have to be installed in a LANDSCAPE configuration the inverters can't go in the garage protected from elements.... I am not a person to write negative reviews. Please get solar with a local company, someone who comes out to your house prior and explains the project. 12.6kw $9500 Electrical $$880 Inverters moved to garage $1200 For an extra $1500 to $2500 I could have got Fronius inverters, better panels and peace of mind that if the system is not working as promised I have a local contact point.

Sunboost will give you the best system at the best price. Avoid other companies if possible. I found out they quote double or more than Sunboost and the components are worse or comparable to what Sunboost

System capacity misrepresented in advertising. Purchased a 6+kw system delivered with a 5kw inverter was never going to deliver advertised capacity. I didn't understand the significance at that time. Best performance has been about 3.5kw. The phone app is useless. The delivered wireless dongle didn't even work. Installer advised the inverter is faulty after testing it at my request. Sunboost on a casual glance disagreed. Sunboost foreigners conistently unhelpful, rude, never returned calls and consistently stonewalled the claim. They don't live in Australia and do not support their products. They are NOT an Australian entity being 100% located overseas it seems. They have proven themselves to be arrogant, deceptive and unresponsive. Tried to get help from the ACT Govt watchdog but they couldn't influence Sunboost and at that p[oint as a retiree my health demanded I surrender. There is a warning here for people believing what their spokesman a former Australian Test Cricket captain says. Even the installer (a thoroughly honorable solar designer & electrician) will no longer deal with them.

Terrible service, misleading promises and a solar monitoring phone app that doesn’t work at all. After sales service is totally nonexistent and they tell you to call the solar panel and inverter manufacturer (in China) for all tech support. Not even close to being value for money as they use cheap unreliable equipment. I give zero stars.
