Solarpro has been installing solar energy solutions to homes, businesses and local governments on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, North Shore and Eastern Suburbs since 2009.
At Solarpro, our mission is to reduce your energy costs and lower your energy bills as near to zero as possible by using creative techniques and modern solar technology. We offer a range of solar batteries and are Certified Tesla Installers. We can set up your electric hot water systems to run off your PV and even heat your pool from your solar panels.
We supply only cutting edge, high quality solar products and are proudly in the LG dealer network. We are the oldest supplier of the SolarEdge optimised system in Australia and monitor all of those systems installed giving our customers total piece of mind.
Solarpro has installed solar systems for seven councils across Sydney including Pittwater, Lane Cove, Woollahra, Willoughby and Ku-ring-gai.
Solarpro is a family business run by Managing Director David Veal.

Professional but not cheap

Very professional initially. Install was well planned and optimised. The system has run very smoothly for nearly 3 years. The app has recently stopped working and won’t connect to the wifi. Disappointed that they want to charge $200+ to come and fix it.

The salesperson Alex was extremely professional and keen to provide solutions at all times. The installation team was punctual and friendly and left the site in a clean condition. The after sales service has been excellent.
Solar Panel - Suntech
Suntech solar panels were chosen based on the installer's recommendation as to their suitability for coastal areas. SolarEdge DC Optimisers were specified for use with the panels and the overall system output has been excellent.
Solar Inverter - SolarEdge
A SolarEdge inverter was chosen along with the decision to use this company's DC Optimisers. The system is ready for a DC coupled SolarEdge home battery. SolarEdge inverters have an excellent reputation for quality and their mobile phone app is very intuitive and informative.

Chose them for the 25yr warranty, however they have ceased making them now. Apparently they will still honour the warranty

Overall they have been good. There were initially some issues with SolarEdge inverter, and with the Sonnen battery, but they were resolved.

We have 2 arrays - one of 20 panels @ 335 W each, and one of 6 panels of 360 W each (installed 2 years later than the first set) Both sets were installed by SolarPro
Solar Inverter - SolarEdge
The system is set up as 3 phase, and the setup was a little difficult to setup - both for the initial array, and the additions. The first 3 phase inverter failed after 3 1/2 years and needed to be replaced, but the replacement has been good, so far
Battery - Sonnen
Generally has been ok ... but like with the SolarEdge inverter, the battery is also setup as 3 phase, and its inverter failed after 2 years ... but the replacement has been good, so far.

Excellent industry and product knowledge. Excellent system-financial modelling and advice, particularly re system / panel optimization and layout. Good clear, impartial recommendations for best system components for us and also upgrades incl. use of dual inverters to provide for future battery & blackout contingency, and hot-water system charging. Importantly, SolarPro provided the longest and clearest warranty being 10 years all-in parts and installation. The installation went exactly according to plan. Subsequent use has hit our expectations and when we have had follow-up questions or support, they have been prompt to reply and answered our needs. We rate them 11/10.

We bought the top range LG panels because we are near the sea and they had the highest corrosion resistance + the best optimization and warranty.
Solar Inverter - SolarEdge
Note we used 2 x 5W inverters to allow us to restart the system off a battery in the event of a blackout. No-one other than SolarPro advised us this alternative.
