Caused damage and did not respond

We are extremely disappointed in the service provided by this company. Would not recommend at all. While installing, damage to the roof was done and we were not informed. As a result when heavy rainfall occurred this caused internal damage to the ceilings. It cost an extra $900 to fix the roof, and unfortunately we have yet to have the money to fix the internal damage but no doubt it will be around the same price. When we enquired with Solar Harbour they did not respond. Then after further prompting two months later they said they would investigate. It took a phone call three months after that for them to respond. They said it could not have been their team as it had been a year since installation. Funnily enough though, no one had been on the roof during that period, and the cracks where directly next to/under where the panels are place. See pictures attached. Additionally we had one of the wettest summers, so how would we know there was damage until there was the rain to cause it!? And if they did not cause the damage (though I'd love to hear the possible alternatives) they definitely would have seen it. Therefore, either they saw the damage and said nothing which would indicate a lack of consideration. (And why would you put heavy solar panels on a roof that had cracks in it!?) Or they created the damage and said nothing and thus also a lack of consideration. We would have been fine had something been said but the fact that it wasn't and that no accountability is being taken is what is most disappointing and disgusting. Furthermore, if you expect stellar customer service don't bother - you won't get it.

The solar panels work fine but the damage caused, which has resulted in an additional $900 + the cost to fix the internal damage definitely takes away from reduced energy costs.

After researching multiple vendors in the market, we finalised on Solar Harbour based on the facts provided and the competitive pricing of the services. Our agent was very informative in providing us with the right Solar package and why, and how to make the most of our property's orientation to maximise the sun's exposure on the panels. We were notified a week in advance about our installation and on the day of the installation, the setup was completed promptly, neatly and solar production was commissioned within 5 hrs of starting the work.
