Good News: (1) Local, (2) Dealing with senior company man, not salesman on a script, (3) Pretty good price (42 X 275W = 11.5kW). Bad news: (1) Overestimated roof capacity (quoted for 48 panels and reduced it after installation). Reduced capacity by 12.5%; reduced price very little, (2) Switched inverter brand from Delta to GoodWe just before installation, (3) Three week delay before inspector came, (4) Undetected broken tile during installation, (5) Mistake(s) in paperwork by inspector AND installer, Further three week (and counting) delay to correct paperwork so still no feed-in payment, (6) Offer to send plasterer to repair water damage - still waiting. I love your site, especially the calculators and the piece on myths about batteries. I didn't go with your recommendations because: (1) Your site was focused on 5kW and less, (2) Your web page wouldn't accept my choices and ended up giving me quotes for 1.5 kW systems, (3) The people who called me were not very knowledgeable or flexible (about E & W roofs, for example), and one told silly lies about rebates being cut and having only one system left on the old rates, (4) The different companies gave very different estimates of the number of panels they could fit, and none would come to measure before signing.
