Accesible, Professional, Punctual
- Managing Director very accessible for questions during pre-purchase phase. - Queries answered promptly which was extremely important due to the purchase of a Sigen battery system which was largely untried in the Australian marketat the time of purchase (Nov. 2024). - Installers punctual, friendly and efficient. - Whatsapp group based service provides quick and targeted (and mostly) timely responses. - After sales service adequate.
Solar Panel - Jinko
Started off with an 8.3kw array in August 2023 and upgraded with another 5.3kw of south facing panels for a total of 13.6kw, consisting of 31 x Jinko 440w panels with the battery install. Working as promised with about 70% efficiency from the south dacing panels at 30 degrees pitch. This equates to a maximum production of approximately 10kwh during the summer solstice (21/12/2024) for approximately 5 hours on a cloudless day in Sydney.
Solar Inverter -
Perfect. I am no electrical engineer, but the inverter works seemlessly with a maximum 10kw output. We apparently had a blackout which I did not even notice until I looked at the app and saw the battery discharge rate, due to the 0sec switch over time. My switchboard was sadly in need of an overhaul, so the necessity of upgrading to 3-phase was carried out in conjunction with the installation.
Battery - Sigenergy
All I can say is forget Elon and Tesla, buy this. The main selling point to me was the modular design with 5kw and 8kw units avaialble at time of writing. It is rumoured that larger capacity battery modules will be available in Australia soon. When the ineveitable march toward 0 or even negative FIT arrives, I can just add additional capacity to store exceess production at minimal cost. The maximum battery capacity for the single controller and gateway is 25kw, so I could add another 8kw moule for a total of 24kw and virtually go off grid. As yet, I haven't changed to Amber or another time of use / AI provider as I have credit with my current provider and they paid me for my services during December :-) A family of 4 in a 2 storey fully electrical (no gas) using 1062kw in December, the system produced 2043kwh, with 974 used and 1069 exported. My rates were $0.2827 per kwh / $0.858 per day / $0.07 FIT. Email me on gangof5@bigpond.net.au if you require any more information on my Sigen installation.
