About Keen 2B Green
Established for 10 years, Keen 2B Green are one of South East Queensland and Northern NSW most prominent and longest established solar energy companies.
Established 11 years ago in 2009, we have been involved in the sale, supply and install of over 7000 solar systems, more than just about anybody else.
Our experience is second to none and we pride ourselves on customer service and supply the right product at the right price. We have been hand selected by major companies as direct partners. We are an Authorised LG Platinum Solar Installer (Number 2 in Australia for the last 3 years), we are also authorised Tesla Installers and Resellers, Q.Cells Q Partners and a Fronius Partner Plus which allows us to offer a longer warranty on the Fronius range of inverters.
All our installs are conducted by our own in house fully employed electricians and installers and we have our own full time service department.

Disappointing

12 mth in and 5 visits from solaredge field service and they still can’t make solar excess charging work. Overall a very basic charger with less features than alternatives. Keen2bgreen are no more, so needing to relay on solarege to try and resolve issues.

Missing key basic features that solar edge claimed to support. Solar edge field serives didn’t seem to know the basics of their product.

Installer was great and had no issues. However as of December 2023 they went into liquidation and are no longer in business as far as I know.

The team was professional and friendly. The initial consultation was excellent, which included drone photography of my house. This exceeded the standards of the other 3 companies I had quote and I felt they did the most thorough investigation of the most suitable layout. Really happy with the recommended system, particularly the solar edge inverter - love the app.
Solar Inverter - SolarEdge
Fantastic. Glad I spent a few hundred dollars extra for this inverter. The app is great, I use it almost daily and has helped adjust our usage to surplus times. Looking forward to eventually adding EV and another system down the track.

Spent time to work through configuration and specifications with me to install a system. Didn't work out the cheapest, but value wise the system has been relatively reliable with the only problem being the SolarEdgeHot Water controller intemittently loses wifi synchronisation to the SolarEdge inverter, the problem cannot be rectified at my end and requires solaredge to re-initiate synchronisation after being called up (rubbish arrangement as users in the US can do this themselves, but we aren't able to in Australia). Keen2BGreen have been very helpful in addressing and supporting any problems.
Solar Inverter - SolarEdge
Except the SolarEdge Hot Water Controller which as mentioned loses wifi sync with the Inverter (wouldn't buy this component again as unreliable failure point - we have had no hot water and no system alert that the controller has failed). Inverter just works and runs cool so happy with how it works.

Keen2bGreen did an excellent job installing my solar system. They showed up on time with their own skilled employees (no random sub-contractors). Whilst a few roof tiles broke during the install (as expected), they put up replacement tiles I had set aside for them without questions. I have had no roof leaks since install (despite record rainfall in 2022). The panels and micro-inverters have worked every day without a hitch. No downtime :-) More electricity produced than I was quoted. They've followed up in case I had any issues. Overall, very happy with Keen2bGreen. Whilst they are not the cheapest, I don't regret using them.
Solar Panel - SunPower
Sunpower Maxeon 5 panels have been ultra reliable so far. The maximum variance in output between panels (least productive vs most productive) in my arrays so far is 2.5% (measured after more than 18 months of use).

Liked the sound of the products. The edge optimiser idea is great. Salesman was helpful and not pushy. Overcame supply issues to deliver on time. Installation guys were polite and efficient. Made any adjustments as requested. Layout works well. Payment process was easy (I didn't need finance). I included the monitoring system which is great, I can see how the system is performing on my phone or computer down to the individual panel. Output is good, even in winter it's getting close to peak inverter output (10kW). I can see the times when I'm importing or exporting and even how much.
