Acclaimed Medical Cannabis Grower, Murray Meds, has installed a 34kW system at their site in Northern Victoria.

The company was looking to make a positive impact on the environment by reducing the carbon footprint of its operations. This project will offset an estimated 500 tonnes of CO2 emissions which is the equivalent of taking almost 6 cars permanently off the road.

Solar Choice was engaged to provide independent analysis and advice on the different options available to the business owners and manage a competitive tender process which enabled the business to access better than market rates.

The installed solar power system features 85 x 400W Trina Solar Panels and a Fronius Eco Inverter. The system installed is designed to be easily expanded in the future if energy consumption increases or battery prices reduce.

Overall, the solar system will save the business over $50k in electricity costs over the next 20 years assuming no increases in electricity prices.
