NSW based but global minerals processing solutions provider, McLanahan Corporation has installed a 60kW system on the roof of their manufacturing and service facility in Cameron Park, NSW.
One of the company’s sustainability goals was to improve its carbon footprint. This project will offset an estimated 959 tonnes of CO2 emissions over the life of the installation, the equivalent of taking almost 11 cars permanently off the road.
Solar Choice was engaged to provide independent analysis and advice on the different options available to the business and manage a competitive tender process which enabled the business to access better than market rates.
The installed solar power systems on the warehouse feature 200 x 300W Suntech Solar Panels and an SMA core 1 inverter.
Overall, the solar system will save the business approximately $100k in electricity costs over the next 20 years, assuming no increases in electricity prices.
