Ceduna School installs 35kW Sunpower PV System

Crossways Lutheran School is located on the west coast of South Australia and offers classes from ELC through to Year 10. 

Solar Choice assisted Tony Peters (Principal) by assessing a number of different options for the school taking into consideration the benefits in terms of lower energy bills and reducing the school’s carbon footprint. 

The selected 35kW Solar System focuses on tackling as much of the school’s daytime energy needs as possible while still delivering an overall payback period of under 3 years. 

The installed system features 84 premium Sunpower solar panels with a industry leading 25 year product warranty and a 30kW Huawei inverter including a 3-phase smart meter. 

The project is expected to deliver over $13,000 in savings each year whilst offsetting almost 1,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions over a 20 year lifetime. That’s the equivalent of taking 217 cars off the road for one year.
